Try these worksheets to help inspire students who are having trouble thinking of something to write about. Have kids pick a few images, or a whole row or column (or diagonal) and challenge them to incorporate the images into a story. If they're still stuck, have them roll a die. The first number they roll tells them the column; the second number tells them the row. Then they need to write a story about whatever picture the die indicates. If they get stuck, they can roll the die again for another picture to help them figure out what should happen next in their story.
